We have two internship positions available: Social Media/Content Intern and Partnerships/Fundraising Intern.
SOCIAL MEDIA AND CONTENT INTERN:
Who you want to be:
As a SocialMedia andContent Intern, you are on the front lines for communicating Phoenix Risen’s mission to a worldwide audience.
You will manage all of Phoenix Risen’s social media, write original content for blogs and guest posts, engage with our audience, and create graphics for our visual platforms. In addition, you will create educational content for our modules and workshops.
You will learn key social media skills like metric optimization, social media advertising, and how to run campaigns. You’ll also gain experience writing both short-form and long-form content.

What you’ll do:
Manage all of Phoenix Risen’s social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn)
Research, read, and write various types of content
Create visual content for Instagram
Document metrics to accurately identify and assess campaign performance
Create and maintain a content calendar
You are:
An excellent and entertaining writer
Detail-oriented and a calendar dictates your life
Self-motivated and loves to think outside of the box
Passionate about eliminating gender-based violence or a fighter for gender equality
An avid news reader that’s culturally-sensitive and global-minded
Ready to dedicate 15-20 hours a week to being a part of our team
You are extra awesome if you have:
Skills in video production
Experience with graphic design and/or photography (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva)
Knowledge of social media tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Mention)
Previous experience at a nonprofit or social enterprise

PARTNERSHIPS & FUNDRAISING INTERN
Who you want to be:
As a Partnerships & Fundraising Intern, you’ll work alongside our Executive Director to form key partnerships with stakeholders in various industries. Phoenix Risen has formed partnerships with universities, startups, companies of every size, and local NGOs. Be prepared to make connections with people from all backgrounds! You’ll also plan and execute creative fundraisers and apply for grants.
You will sharpen your communication skills, create a global network, and no work day will ever be the same.

What you’ll do:
Research and develop relationships with potential partners
Dream and plan creative fundraisers (crowdsourcing, pop-up fundraisers)
Stay on top of communication with our collaborators via email, videoconferencing, and every messaging app imaginable
Apply for grants and manage our current 501c3 certification process
You are:
An excellent communicator (clear, concise, friendly, and you always respond to your texts)
Someone who stays on top of deadlines and a master of spreadsheets
Self-motivated and loves to think outside of the box
Passionate about eliminating gender-based violence or a fighter for gender equality
Ready to dedicate 15-20 hours a week to being a part of our team
You are extra awesome if you have:
Previous experience at a nonprofit or social enterprise
Familiarity with fundraising software (Raiser’s Edge, Results Plus)
Grant writing experience
